Saba

Saba is a resident physician (class of ’26) in Diagnostic and Molecular Pathology (formerly Anatomical Pathology) at McGill University in Montréal, Canada.

She completed her medical degree at Kuwait University and came to Canada to pursue further training in pathology. She will be returning to an academic position in Kuwait University upon completion of her postgraduate studies.

She has a special interest in gastrointestinal, liver, and pancreaticobiliary pathology as well as molecular pathology. Additionally, she has been involved in a number of research projects and collaborations during her residency cultivating in presentations at international conferences and publications.

Saba is also interested in medical education and curriculum design; as a PGY1, she was the lead resident involved in redesigning and implementing a new curriculum for the “pathology bootcamp” rotation given to first year residents.

She is a member of the Association of Kuwait Doctors in Canada (AKDC) and served as treasurer of the AKDC during 2022-2023.

She will also be serving a term as the incoming co-chief resident for the residency program in 2024-2025.

Saba hopes to pursue a dual fellowship in both GI/HPB pathology and molecular pathology.
